Name: Zoya | Breed: Caucasian Ovcharka/Caucasian Shepherd | Age: 3 Years | Gender: Female | Human Parents: Paramjeet Singh Dhesi | Imported from: Ukraine | Residents of: Sarabha Nagar – Ludhiana, Punjab

Disposition
The Caucasian Shepherd is a calm, massive, powerful, loyal, and highly intelligent and fearless flock guardian. Independent, they stand their ground and do not back down. They are good with all members of their own family. Outside the home, they may try to dominate other dogs and are wary of strangers; per se they are guardians and will act as such.
Today a Caucasian Ovcharka (CO) is treasured not only by the people but also by all who have grown fond of these animals and highly appreciate this courageous protector and friend.

Working Dogs

Caucasian Ovcharka are often the preferred breed for many types of work, including herding sheep, search-and-rescue, police and military roles, and even acting because of their strength, speed, agility, endurance, intelligence, trainability, and obedience.

Eccentricities/Adorable Habits
Zoya likes to walk around the house with a sock/shoe in her mouth, whatever she can find or reach. She will carry it till someone chases her to get it back. She will smack me in the face with her paws if I am not paying attention to her. This can be painful.

I’d Describe My Dog As

Zoya is a fantastic member of our family, who is gentle and kind with a good temperament. She is playful and a true companion. This is a phenomenal example of the breed I can take anywhere, and always is the center of attraction.

Favorite Pastime
Zoya loves spending time outside and can’t get enough of fetching the ball or running around with me.

Fears, if any
No Fear

Advice
Socialization, leadership, structure, consistency, and patience are the keys to this breed. Prepare yourself for the best experience of your life. It breaks my heart to hear people describe the breed as dangerous etc. If bred and trained well and loved, they are the best dogs ever.
