Renowned D2C pet care company, Heads Up For Tails (HUFT), welcomes aboard Swati Mohan as its Chief Business Officer. Prior to joining HUFT, she has been the Marketing Head of global streaming service, Netflix; she spearheaded latter’s marketing strategies for over two years. At HUFT, she will lead consumer and commercial business initiatives with social focus on D2C business; her mandate is to scale growth of the company through brand and marketing, tech advancements, growth partnerships, and product innovation.

Earlier in 2019, Swati Mohan bagged for herself an honourable place in the ‘40 under Forty’ list of Economic Times for being one of the brightest corporate leaders of the country under the age of forty. She has always been passionate as a business leader and strived for building products that have driven business growth at the back of consumer engagement, new habit building, enhanced brand perception, and new revenue streams. Apart from Netflix, she has also worked at other reputed media organizations such as National Geographic and Fox Networks Group, and has a wide spectrum of work experience across companies, including Group M, O&M, FBC Media, and Endemol.

Extending a heartwarming welcome, HUFT Founder – Rashi Narang states, “We are delighted to have Swati onboard! She is a seasoned professional with a two-decade-long track record as a proven leader and has driven profitable growth in large, multi-channel consumer businesses. She brings significant experience in growing brands, improving operating performance and customer experience, and delivering results. Under her leadership, we aim at building a stronger tech platform for all the needs of pets at every stage of their life. We look forward to working with and supporting Swati as she leads Heads Up For Tails forward on its transformational journey in realizing our vision  statement – ‘for every home to experience the joys of raising pets as family’.”

Founded in 2008 by Rashi Narang, Heads Up For Tails is an omnichannel pet care company offering products and services, including spa for animals. It has a distribution network across Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Ludhiana. HUFT has been the ‘Brand of the Year’ twice in the World Branding Awards Animals Edition. Recently, it has raised $37 million (about Rs 277 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Verlinvest and Sequoia Capital India. Amitell Capital and existing investor W&C PetTech also participated in the fundraising.

Expressing her joy and excitement for her new role, Swati Mohan states, “After years of building and scaling global media businesses, I’m excited about this leap into the pet care industry; one that is projected to reach over USD $2B over the coming years. As a pet parent myself, it has been inspiring to have witnessed what Rashi and the team at HUFT have built through their stores, experiences and products; a brand with a sole mission to treat pets and their needs no less than those of any family member; making it the undisputed leader in the category.

She envisions integrating her thoughts into the next phase of growth by infusing tech & personalization, e-commerce, content, and community to build out both the brand and business as the go-to platform for any and every pet parent need.
