Mumbai, 25.06.2025 – Allana Consumer Products Ltd. (ACPL), part of the 160-year-old Allana Group, today announced that its pet food vertical has crossed ₹200 crore in annual revenue driven by strong domestic and export momentum along with growing foundation for international expansion. This achievement driven by the market performance of its dog food brand Bowlers™ and cat food brand Purrfeto™, marks one of the strongest new vertical launches in India’s pet care sector.
The milestone is a result of ACPL’s sharp focus on category innovation, demand-side precision, and supply-chain control. With product portfolios spanning wet and dry formats, both brands have gained early traction in India’s urban and Tier-II markets. Bowlers™ caters to a range of life stages and breed sizes in dogs, while Purrfeto™ addresses the specific nutritional needs of cats a segment witnessing accelerated growth. Together, the brands reflect ACPL’s strategy to build an integrated, scalable platform in pet nutrition anchored on consumer trust and scientific rigor.
India’s pet care market is currently valued at over ₹5,000 crore and is expected to double by 2027. Pet food remains the largest sub-segment, accounting for nearly 70% of industry revenues, and is growing at 20–25% CAGR. While dog ownership continues to dominate, cat adoption is on a sharp upward curve, particularly among millennials and nuclear households in metro cities. ACPL’s timely entry into this space taps into both these growth pockets, filling key white spaces in formulation quality, price accessibility, and local availability.

Looking ahead, ACPL plans to diversify into functional and condition-specific diets, introduce breed-specific formulas, and scale its wet food innovation pipeline across both dog and cat categories. Since its launch, ACPL has built a presence across more than 20,000 general trade outlets and all leading e-commerce marketplaces. The brands are also expanding their footprint across modern trade, breeder networks, and veterinary clinics. All products are manufactured at ACPL’s integrated facility in India, allowing for full control over formulation, quality, and compliance. The product lines are AAFCO and FSSAI-compliant and developed in close consultation with veterinary nutritionists and food scientists.
Bowlers™ currently offers dry and wet food formulations tailored for puppies and adult dogs, including large breed variants. Purrfeto™, targeted at Indian feline consumers, includes dry kibble and gravy-based wet food options featuring tuna, salmon, chicken, liver, and ocean fish blends. Both brands are fortified with key nutrients such as taurine, omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, prebiotics, and essential vitamins and minerals to promote overall pet health.
