People do say dogs are our best friends. They are loyal, caring, adorable, and so on. But once you have your paw friend with you, the feeling, the emotion is surreal, which words fail to explain.
Aarti Rajput, an actor, and model by profession, is building her paw family day by day with every ounce of her heart.
It all dates back to 2013 when she adopted Scempy – her companion, her go-to place after every stressful day, her best friend, and her world. Scempy is an extremely adorable Labrador who waits patiently every evening to welcome Aarti with open arms. Just seeing him wagging his tail and letting him lick her face, Aarti finds her solace.
With every passing day, Aarti’s love and affection for her paw friends started getting fonder and mightier. One fine day, she found an indie dog near her residence, which was hurt and was in extreme pain. Aarti rescued her and her puppies, fed them, sheltered them, and most importantly, showered them with immense love. Yes! Aarti is the perfect paw-mom.
This was the beginning of an entire era. A few days down the lane, she found another dog injured by an accident. Without wasting a minute, she took that dog to a vet, got the treatment done, and patiently nurtured him till it was back on his four toes doing mischief.
This became a ritual. No sooner had Aarti started taking care of all the Indie pups of her area. She would make sure to bring treats and goodies on her way back home after every shoot for her furry friends. This gave Aarti peace, contentment, and happiness nothing else could ever give.
Soon she had her small team who was working selflessly on a mission of transforming lives. Aarti’s watchman and his wife tagged along to feed this adorable group of dogs and take care when she was away for shoots. Slowly and gradually, people who initially saw indie dogs as a threat realized they can be your best friends and family when given love and care. With her determination and selfless love, Aarti has set an example for the entire neighborhood and has enumbered people supporting her. A proud mother of 35 indie dogs, we are in awe of the work she has been doing.
And, how can we forget ‘Kaalu’? Her guardian angel, Kaalu, is the pet of the first dog she adopted. He loves Aarti with all his heart, and dare any other pet thinks of coming close to Aarti, his insecurity levels will reach the sky. But, at the same time, a few head rubs from her melts Kaalu, and he is the most loving dog of all. Aartis is truly an inspiration for everyone out there!
As it is rightly said, you just need to take a leap of faith, believe in yourself, and start working on your idea. Today you might be alone, but tomorrow you will be supported and surrounded by people who think alike and wish to bring a change in society.
