Onpets Animal Care LLP a pet health care startup from Kolkata has signed an agreement (under public private partnership model) with West Bengal Livestock Corporation Ltd (WBLDCL) to provide pet diagnostic services across Kolkata & suburbs, which is a first of its kind Govt. initiative in India. WBLDCL has identified 18 state run animal health centers (SAHC) across West Bengal where sample collections will be available along with the facility to book home sample collections. Onpets will be the managed service partner of WBLDCL for B2C segment.
Anirban Chanda CEO & Founder – Onpets said “Our partnership with Centre for Laboratory Animal Research and Training (CLART) under West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Ltd is a big step towards taking pet healthcare services across tier I & tier II cities and towns in West Bengal and its completely in sync with our core vision to provide integrated preventive pet healthcare services at customer doorsteps which can improve overall pet health at large”.
With a strong & loyal customer base of 11000 pet parents, Onpets is one among the few startups in India who conceptualized the idea of taking preventive pet healthcare services to customer doorsteps at affordable costs. Within 3 plus years in operation they have been the first choice of customers for services like vet on call, pet vaccinations, pet diagnostics, custom nutrition and dog insurance.

Onpets is an integrated managed platform with an in-house dedicated team of 30+ veterinarians, phlebotomists and care givers who are available 365 days to attend to customer issues. Currently on ground services are available across 2 major cities in eastern India and online services are available across India.
What sets Onpets apart is its unique blend of online and offline services. Imagine a veterinary clinic that comes to your door! Onpets not only offer consultations through a user-friendly web app but also provide door-to-door health services. This innovative approach ensures that pets, especially those who might be anxious about travel or who have mobility limitations, receive care in the comfort of their own homes. The advantages of this model are manifold. For pet owners, convenience is key. Busy schedules and the demands of everyday life can make it difficult to find time for vet visits.
With Onpets, pet owners can schedule appointments that fit seamlessly into their lives, reducing stress on both the human and animal side of the equation.
As we look to the future of pet care in India, it’s clear that Onpets is not only redefining veterinary healthcare but also setting a new standard for how we care for our pets.
