Dr. Venkata D. Boppana, Co-founder and Chief Technical Advisor of Nutrition Nxt, holds a PhD in Veterinary Science and has over 25 years of experience in Veterinary Nutrition, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases. He also operates a chain of animal hospitals in the US. Dr. Boppana explains that Many of the pet foods including the popular pet food brands are nutritionally deficient or excessive, imbalanced and causing serious health conditions such as renal failures, joint issues and liver related issues. With PARENT pet food, Nutrition Nxt aims to provide complete, balanced nutrition for all stages of a pet’s life.
PARENT’s canine product line includes formulas for Mother & Puppy, Puppy, Adult, and Senior dogs. The feline range includes products for kitten and Adult. The company also plans to launch prescription diets for pets with specific medical needs.
Nutrition Nxt developed the world’s first digital body condition and nutritional assessment digital tool based on WSAVA guidelines. This innovation is embedded in the PARENT 360 app, which helps to evaluate pet’s condition and suggest tailored nutrition plans.
Prasharsha Cherukury, Founder and CEO of Nutrition Nxt, said In India there is a shortage of products designed to provide targeted food for pets with specific nutritional needs at different life stages. To address this, the company uses natural ingredients sourced from globally recognized suppliers. Current products are manufactured at an FDA and GMP-certified facility meeting AAFCO and FDA standards. Nutrition Nxt is also establishing its own 40,000 TPA facility in Hyderabad, Telangana, with an investment of ₹90 crores, expected to be operational by FY26.
