Rio, the most adorable parraot that mankind has known, marched into our lives when he was just 5 days old back in 2020. It was not a slow and steady process but a love at first sight. My family started pampering Rio from the very beginning and we have proudly given him the ownership to dictate our everyday routines.
Rio does what every parrot does with his own added signature flair. Parrots are known to make a lot of noice but the kind of noice which we keep you hooked and be in admiration of his sheer cuteness. We once left him at our neighbours’ when we had to travel and we missed the life out of him. On the contrary, our neighbours who have never been pet owners got emotional when they had to drop Rio back to us and said they had a whale of a time getting entertained by his ways. That is exactly what Rio does. When he sleeps, there is an unusal silence in the house that makes everyone feel empty and when he is up, the whole house is set into motion.
I love coming back to Rio after a long day, spending time with him and being entertained by him 24/7 with the versatile and a massive range of voices that he has in his system. He loves to eat, relax, offer a live show to a group of audience, and looking at him makes me feel at home.
Rio loves corn and cashew the most. So, we make it a point to make him happy every now and then with his favourite meal. Sometimes, I think Rio does not need a bunch of stuff lying around as he himself is enough to keep himself entertained. He knows how to fill in a void by being himself and be a complete life of the party. Having Rio is like having an extended family member we love to show up for every single day. He added more love and light in our lives with his mischief and I cannot think of my life any other way. I am grateful for my favourite parrot every day.
