Dog Treats are essential to keep them engaged, stimulated, and happy. However, to avoid the sugar rush and the problems that come from indulging in excessive sweet treats, it is essential to incorporate some healthier options. It will be a great creative and fun task for the pet parent to create healthy yet delicious recipes and as a result, your pet will be happy beyond words. Here are some of the treats you can try at home:
Peanut Butter Treat Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Cups of Peanut Butter
1/2 Cup of Natural Peanut Butter
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup Water
Instructions:
- Pre Heat Oven to 350 F
- Combine flour, eggs, and peanut butter in a large bowl to make a thick crumbly dough
- Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you can form the dough into a large ball.
- On a clean floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Use cookie cutters or a knife to cut into individual treats
- Place the treats on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
Let it cool before your dog can devour in it!

Strawberry Bell Pepper Donut Treats Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 cup coconut flour
1/3 cup blended strawberries (with a little water)
1/3 cup blended red bell peppers (with a little water)
1 egg
2/3 cup water
Non fat plain Greek yoghurt
Finely chopped strawberries and/or bell peppers for sprinkles
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients together then spoon in donut molds. Mash the mixture together in molds so it forms together. Bake for approx 18 minutes at 350 depending on donut size.
Once donuts have cooled, carefully remove from mold and dunk them in plain yoghurt.
Top with finely chopped strawberries and/or bell peppers.
