We, as humans, are incessantly looking for ways to improve life as we know it. Pets and companion animals are such an important part of our lives that the veterinarians leave no stone unturned to cater to the animals’ needs and educate themselves on how to care better for your pets! One of the ways is continuous education programs and staying up-to-date with the world’s progress in animal healthcare is through attending seminars and lectures planned by World-Wide organisations such as FASAVA– Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Associations. FASAVA has been organising many such events on a monumental scale for the past 15 years all over the world—in Ireland, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and even Japan.

For the very first time in its history, FASAVA is organising such an event in Mumbai, India, from 27th to 29th October, 2023 on a colossal scale! Prominent veterinary doctors from all around the globe will be  coming to India as speakers as well as attendees at this prestigious event. It is no secret that the field of small animal medicine is constantly evolving and improving. That’s why we at Drools are thrilled to announce that we will be sponsoring the Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Association (FASAVA) Congress in 2023! This is the first time that an Indian origin company has had the opportunity to be the main sponsor for such a FASAVA Congress—and it is an obvious choice that Drools stepped forth as a sponsor. In just 12 years, Drools has garnered the trust and faith of millions of people in India and countries across, with our passion towards the betterment of the lifestyle of pets by offering supreme quality food for companion animals and making sure our customers are happy and satisfied with our food whenever fed!

FASAVA plays a vital role in helping small animal practitioners to provide high-quality care to animals in the Asian region. It is continuing education programs, hands-on training for technicians and assistants, and development of clinical guidelines, all of these help to ensure that animals receive the best possible care.

In the words of Dr. Ramani Jairam, FASAVA Board member, “Bringing the FASAVA 2023 to India is a great achievement for the Pet Practitioners Association of Mumbai (PPAM). PPAM is one of the founding members of FASAVA (Asian Congress). COVID 19 was a setback to all educational activities across the globe. The FASAVA board wanted to restart the program for professional development of veterinarians in India and across Asia. This event to be organised in Mumbai at Westin, Powai, in October, will be the crowning glory for all Indian veterinarians. I request each and every veterinarian in India to come and be a part of this momentous occasion. PPAM promises all delegates a world class experience with the Indian flavour.”

The PPAM President, Dr. Dhananjay Bapat, says “It’s an absolute delight and pride to announce FASAVA 2023 (Asian Vet Congress) on 27th to 29th October 2023 in Mumbai at Hotel Westin Powai. This grand event will be hosted by PPAM, which is a dream come true. At FASAVA Congress 2023, we will have 6 streams and more than 25 world class speakers. We will do our best to cover all the important clinical topics in multiple streams. It is the first ever Asian Vet Congress in India.

I request all Indian and Asian Veterinary Practitioners to attend and make this event a grant success. It will be the biggest Olympics of vet education ever celebrated in our incredible India.”

Dr. Makarand Chavan, PPAM Secretary, was equally excited to extend a warm welcome to all the vets across Asia for this meeting, and stated, “I would like to extend the invitation of 11th FASAVA Congress to all vets, vet students and faculty of vet schools in Asia.” We thank wholeheartedly all supporter from Drools and all our sponsors.

We look forward to bonding with the Asian vet fraternity and upgrading our clinical skills with this state of the art educational congress.

We promise the best Indian Hospitality at this grand Infotainment endeavour.”

The Joint Secretary PPAM, Dr. Anil Vade, added, “This event brings to you the world class speakers, covering multiple streams in Small Animal Practice. We are looking forward to participation from Practising Veterinarians and Veterinary students from India and across Asia. We thank all our sponsors for their support. Join us to make this event a grand success.” Dr. Nihar Jayakar, Jt. Treasurer PPAM invited everyone saying “It’s great pleasure to invite all Veterinarians and Veterinary students across India and Asia to 11th FASAVA Congress…. We, at PPAM, promise you a great event with the world class speakers in the fields for cardiology, dermatology, exotic animal medicine and surgery, orthopaedic and internal medicine. PPAM promises you a world class event and hospitality. This will be one of the best learning experiences you will have. Join us in great numbers and make this event a great success. Hope to see you at FASAVA-Mumbai.” In the words of Dr. Hitesh Swali, Treasurer PPAM, “We as PPAM family, take great pride to invite our fellow vets to the first international FASAVA to be held in India. We also would like to invite international delegates to India and enjoy our hospitality. We thank our sponsors Drools for their unconditional support towards this event.… Humble request to attend the event and help yourself enhance the knowledge and networking through the Congress!”

One of the key ways that FASAVA helps veterinarians is through its continuing education programs. These programs provide veterinarians with the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in veterinary medicine and to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies. This is vital, as it enables veterinarians to provide the best possible care to their patients and to stay current in their field.

But why are we so excited about this sponsorship? For starters, it allows us to show our support for the veterinary community and all the hard work they do to care for animals. It also gives us the opportunity to showcase our high-quality products and demonstrate our commitment to supporting the overall health and well-being of pets.

But more than anything, we are excited about the opportunity to learn and grow alongside our colleagues in the veterinary field. The congress is a chance for us to hear from experts, attend lectures and workshops, and learn about the latest trends and techniques in veterinary medicine. We believe that by staying on the cutting edge of our industry, we can serve the needs of our customers and their beloved pets in a better fashion.
