In conversation with Ritesh Jaju, Founder of Maple Pets, he delves into the various domains that Maple Pets cater to, keeping love for pets at the core.

Question- What inspired you to venture into the Pet Industry and how has your trajectory been so far?

I believe that only pets give us free unconditional love. I was born into a family with a long-standing tradition in the care of livestock, particularly birds, fish, dogs, and cows. I witnessed firsthand the dedication and meticulous attention given to ensure their well-being. However, when it came to the beloved companions of the canine, Fishes aquariums , birds, and feline variety, I noticed a gap in the market. There was a lack of premium-quality food and accessories tailored specifically for dogs , fishes , birds, and cats, unlike the standards set for larger livestock. Drawing from the ethos instilled by my ancestors in animal husbandry, I saw an opportunity to serve international premium-quality products to pets on a broader scale. Thus, Maple Pets International decided to import world’s top quality premium brands such as Fluval , Nutrience, Catit, Exo Terra , Zoe Tropican from the world’, Canada formed in 1955 ,ensuring that our furry friends receive nothing but the highest quality nutrition and innovative toys, Filters etc for a happy and healthy life of our pets.

Question- Could you provide an overview of Nutrience, Catit, and Zoe brands and the different requirements of the respective brands?

 Nutrience, Catit, and Zoe are three distinct brands.  All are made  in Vancouver, Canada, and each caters to different aspects of pet care.

Nutrience focuses primarily on providing high-quality, nutritionally balanced food for pets, with a range of formulas tailored to meet the specific dietary needs of cats and dogs at different life stages. Their products are formulated with premium ingredients to support overall health, including skin and coat, digestion, and joint health.

Catit is for cats and specializes in innovative products designed to enhance the quality and health of cats and their owners. From interactive toys and furniture to feeding and grooming essentials, Catit offers a wide range of solutions to keep cats mentally stimulated, physically active, and comfortable in their environment. Their products are designed with the well-being and happiness of cats in mind, encouraging natural behaviors and promoting bonding between pets and their owners.

Zoe, on the other hand, focuses on providing natural and organic pet care products, including food, treats, and supplements. Their products are crafted with wholesome ingredients, free from artificial additives and fillers, to support pets’ overall health and vitality while promoting sustainability and eco-friendliness.

Question-  How do your formulas cater to the specific dietary needs of different pets, such as puppies/kittens, adults, and seniors?

Our formula is carefully crafted to meet the dietary needs of pets at different life stages. We ensure that essential nutrients like protein, fats, vitamins, and minerals are balanced to support growth in puppies/kittens, maintain energy levels in adults, and promote joint health and weight management in seniors.

By formulating a single recipe that caters to all breeds and ages, we streamline the feeding process for pet owners while ensuring that their furry companions receive the tailored nutrition they need at every stage of life.

Question-  Are there any specific product lines or options within Nutrience that cater to budget- conscious pet owners without compromising on quality?

Yes, Nutrience offers a range of products designed to meet the needs of budget- conscious pet owners without sacrificing quality. They have options like Nutrience Original, which provides balanced nutrition at an affordable price point.

Question- Catit offers a range of products for feline enrichment. Can you discuss how some of these products contribute to mental stimulation and physical activity for indoor cats?

Certainly. Catit offers various products designed to promote overall health, mental stimulation, and physical activity for indoor cats. For example, Catit Pixi is worlds largest-selling LED fountain which minimizes cat urinary diseases and cats love to drink flowing water without any vibrations.

Feeding toys like the Catit Senses 2.0 Food Tree encourage cats to “hunt” for their food, engaging their natural instincts and providing mental stimulation. Similarly, products like the Catit Senses 2.0 Super Circuit provide a track system with various attachments and a ball, encouraging cats to chase and bat at the ball, promoting physical activity and preventing boredom. These products help simulate a cat’s natural environment, keeping them mentally and physically healthy even when indoors.

Question-  Looking ahead, what is your vision for the growth and development of Nutrients, Catit, and Zoe brands? Are there any new initiatives or strategies on the horizon for the Indian Market considering it a price-sensitive market?

As the director of Maple Pets International, my vision is to offer the best possible food for the pets and spread the awareness about balanced food with combination of high protien, high fat and low ash to pet parents.

Nutrience, Catit, and Zoe brands are globally well recognized at Costco , Petsmart , Amazon etc and now we are expanding product offerings, enhancing brand visibility, and ensuring quality in India.

In the Indian market, we feel that there is significant knowledge gap among pet parents about ingredients Guaranteed analysis beside its also price sensitive market.

We plan to introduce initiatives such as 14 days challenge in pets health with our brands , samples , value packs, localized marketing strategies, and partnerships with local breeders pets association , shelters regional distributors to cater the diverse consumer needs while maintaining affordability.

Additionally, we aim to focus on education and awareness campaigns to highlight the benefits of our products, ultimately fostering brand loyalty and market growth.
