Pets are a blessing in human lives. If you wish to experience unconditional love, consider witnessing that in a pet’s eyes. Bringing home a pet has been a dream for a lot of people since their childhood but to fulfill it, is a different ball game and we have a similar story of Utsav Patel, an architect by profession and photographer by passion.

Being a kid Utsav started yearning for a pet as a companion, for years after his protests, his parents gave in and asked him to pass 12th with flying colours and they’ll bring him a dog. This created a whole different level of enthusiasm in him.

After entering college Utsav knew that now no one could stop him from getting a pet and his parents were also convinced that they needed to get him a pet. That’s when he first held Mac, a labrador and it was love at first sight. After a few days, his parents decided to bring Mac home and surprise him. That day he went to a concert and his mom texted him out of urgency and asked him to check his Whatsapp. He did so, and to his surprise, it was pictures of Mac in his home’s backyard, playing. Wrapping all his shoots he rushed home with the same zeal he had when he was a five-year-old; happiest to the core.

A pet indeed can transform anyone’s life, just like how it changed the Utsav family’s.

Mac brought a wave of happiness into their family especially for his mom, as if she has a second child, no it was her first child, says Utsav with a chuckle, showing how intense their bond is with Mac. He sits on mama’s lap and she used to carry him to her boutique; not willing to keep her child away from her, even while she was cooking he used to sit in the kitchen and sleep near her feet. Her attachment towards him has grown to a point that even if Utsav isn’t there at home she needs Mac, similarly for Mac too. He wags his way behind her through the house. Utsav and his family think of him as a family member because he understands every language and conversation. If his name is called, he will have his ears up and become conscious.

Mac has a favorite towel that has to be there while he baths since he loves to play with it. He is a smart dog as he rushes to the backyard where that towel is hung and washes his feet, to which Mac’s mom taunts Utsav to see and learn a few good habits from him.

Their suggestion to every single child-parent out there is to bring a pet home as a companion for themselves and their kid, helping that child to learn responsibilities and duties at a young age.
