These are the intense summer months of May and June that make the pets in our homes and out in the streets feel stressed due to the heat. This is specially for the dogs and cats living in the streets, who look for shelter wherever they can find it. Their appetite drops and they become very irritable snapping at those who disturb them too much.

AAP, that is Alliance of Animals and People, ( during these summer months run community programs in Delhi and Kolkata, trying to reach out to the street pets seen panting and tired trying to find a quiet corner where they can cool off for a while. The community groups always leave a clean bowl of water in areas and in front of the house so that it is a relief for them and they don’t have to loiter around in search of water to drink.

The school programs that are conducted also talk about children being loving and compassionate to understand that just like them, the dogs and cats around us are thirsty during summer and need to drink water. Often times, the children themselves take up the responsibility in their area and keep a clean bowl of drinking water for them.

This year in addition to what AAP was doing in the known pockets of Delhi and Kolkata, Goel Vet Pharma Pvt. Ltd, came forward to help the street pets a little bit more. They suggested giving the dogs and cats Stressza, a homeopathy medicine to reduce the discomfort of the street pets we love so much. They came forward to go beyond business and with a strong sense of corporate responsibility sent at once Stressza to AAP offices so that these medicines could be given to dogs and in areas after consultation with the veterinary doctors in the areas. It was a very thoughtful venture straight from the heart. Joining hands with Goel Vet Pharma Pvt. Ltd added to the confidence that AAP could now truly reach out to the street pets and also help the animals stop being irritable and snapping at passers-by.

Goel Vet Pharma Pvt Ltd ( is a company based in Chittorgarh, India, that provides homeopathic medicines for a variety of animals, including cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, dogs, and cats. The company offers a range of veterinary homeopathic medicines to treat various conditions in animals. Their approach towards veterinary homeopathy is said to be a new approach in the historical city of Chittorgarh.

They believe homoeopathy can be a gentle and natural alternative to traditional veterinary care, providing a complementary approach to help improve the overall health and well-being of pets. It is often used to treat a range of conditions in animals and can be effective in helping to manage symptoms and promote healing.

The company also felt that animals experience anxiety, stress, and nervousness. There often comes a moment when your pet may feel stressed due to underlying problems like in summer due to heat stroke, separation from humans, traumatic past and unfamiliar people as well as surroundings. They express this feeling and show visible signs of stress like unanimously scratching, nervous or aggressive barking, hiding under bed or behind humans, loss of appetite, excessive urination, behaving wildly / destructive behaviour,  and attacking unknowingly.

Like AAP, Goel Vet Pharma Pvt. Ltd understood that summer can be a challenging time for street dogs as they are exposed to extreme heat and humidity, which can cause dehydration, heat exhaustion, and other heat-related illnesses. Street dogs may experience stress during summer due to a lack of access to shade, water, and cooling resources. Providing shaded areas, clean water, and access to cooling resources like fans or water sprays can help alleviate stress in street dogs during summer. It is also important to monitor street dogs for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke and seek veterinary care if necessary.

Bondana Dutta, Managing Trustee of AAP ( Alliance of Animals and People) confirms by saying “We do distribute First Aid Kit in the community for the treatment of community animals and have used common several available homoeopathy medicine. After having workshops with community members sharing details of Dr. Goel’s Stressza, we will include this medicine in the kit.” She goes on to say, “We are happy that this medicine will help street dogs and cats overcome stress during the acute hot months in Delhi and Kolkata. We do keep water bowls in the community for dogs and cats and planning to give this medicine in the bowls after taking advice from the area Vet. For acute cases we will use this medicine on the tongue with the help of a Vet.”

It is good to hear that there are remedies available today to help alleviate stress and aggression in street pets during summer. However, it is important to remember that while homoeopathic remedies like Dr. Goel’s Stressza may be helpful for some pets, they should always be used under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian trained in homoeopathy. It is also important to address the underlying causes of stress and aggression in street pets, which may include lack of proper nutrition, access to clean water and shade, socialization, and proper medical care.

Dr Goel believes that “Providing street pets with these basic necessities and working with local animal welfare organizations to promote humane animal control practices can help reduce stress and aggression in street pets during summer and year-round.”

The medicine is available at and also at Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and 1mg. Stressza drops work instantly & is the most effective when given onto the tongue directly. If that’s not possible at all, then one can give it with water. One has to avoid giving it treats or food as it takes a lot of time to have an effect.

Stressza can also be used for our house pets and can be as comforting as suggested by the company. Most of the time we are more sensitive to our house pets than those living out in the streets and struggling to survive the natural climatic changes. We at AAP believe that all it needs is a thought of reaching out to them as they are a part of our world too and it requires a big heart like Goel Vet Pharma Pvt. Ltd to come forward to join hands to take care, love and compassion to the streets of Delhi and Kolkata.
